Stroll across the main lawn on Governor's Island last weekend, and you might feel transported to the 1920s.

Michael Arnella and the Dreamland Orchestra hosted their 14th Jazz Age Lawn Party, and for our Cityscape Photo Meetup group, it was an excellent opportunity for street portraits.

The Jazz Age attendees arrived in period gear and happy to be photographed. A few of our attendees were understandably shy about photographing strangers. I tried to share a few tips on the spot, but here is more comprehensive advice in this Shutterbug Life post.

Thanks to everyone who came out to the event!
